Pine Bark Extract is a substance extracted from the bark of pine trees. Pine bark from the trees is collected and smoo thed out.
It contains large amounts of compounds called OPCs (proanthocyanidins oligomers). OPCs have been found in many plants since they were isolated from peanut shells by French scientist Dr. Jack Mescali in 1947.
